Who am I?

I am a budding 23 year old Psychology & English enthusiast from a small island in the Caribbean known as the Commonwealth of Dominica (not the Dominican Republic). I grew up on the island for the first eighteen years of my life until I moved to the United States to pursue my studies in August of 2019.

I studied for two years at a boarding high school called St. Mark’s School in Southborough, Massachusetts. There, my love for Psychology emerged and I was also allowed to nurture my passion for writing and research during my time as an editor for the school’s academic journal.

In 2021, I enrolled at Davidson College to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology and English. My passions have persisted throughout my time at Davidson College, and as I near graduation, I am somehow even more certain about my educational interests and pursuits than I was six years ago.

While at Davidson, I have been fortunate enough to pursue opportunities that have continued to strengthen my passions. I have pursued research opportunities either directly as the primary researcher, or indirectly as an assistant, in the fields of Biology, Neuroscience, and Psychology. I have also pursued study abroad experiences in Prague, Copenhagen, and Stockholm where I got to experience many different learning pedagogies. Such a global educational experience has provided me with insight, experiences, and perspectives that strengthen my skills as a writer, researcher, student, and person.

Upon my graduation in May, I hope to remain in the United States (either through OPT – Optional Practical Training or a work visa) to continue my professional journey. I am very open to the many different paths afforded to me by my double major but am particularly interested in writing, research, and other related fields. I also plan to eventually further my education through the pursuit of a graduate degree.

Feel free to reach out if any of aspect of my portfolio or CV piques your interest and you would like to have a discussion.
